One new stream of our deeds is this ICT based educational material “Nari O Naksha”. After carrying out a long research throughout the Bangladeshi Villages UNESCO has developed this material by taking the real story, livelihood activities and even the local languages of the inhabitant of those villages. It will play a potential role in literacy prgramme for the women and adolescent girls engaged in different economic activities.
The assistant editor of the CD, Mr. S M Ashraf Abir during demonstrate the CD explains that in greater Mymensing including Jamalpur and Sherpur district some other villages are inhabited with those female who are very much skilled in sewing activities. Although for poverty they are deprived of literacy, but yet they are playing a potential role in economical solvency to their family.
Here every village has female leaders, who by the side of their own work also collect the works of the other women of that village. They supply those products to the showrooms and from there again return to village with new orders for the workers. Thus a work cycle is going on through the area. The owner of these show rooms is also female. These owners meet the local demand and also supply their product to the big cities like Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, etc. Thus women of this area are plying an active role in economical sector. As for poverty a large part of them are lack of literacy so this material has been developed keeping pace with their activity to make them literate.
