An agreement was singed on June 8th, 2010 between D.Net-MCC and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) for conducting R&D and offering mobile phone based services for various citizens’ groups in the country. The agreement was signed by Professor Zafar Iqbal, Chairperson of the CSE Dept and Dr. Ananya Raihan on behalf of D.Net-MCC. It is to be mentioned that MCC is a subsidiary of D.Net focusing on content and communication platform development.

A workshop was held on Aug, 2010 in SUST to identify initial services to be offered by D.Net-MCC-SUST. Initially, 5 services have been identified, some of which have large revenue generating potential and others are for serving underprivileged communities.
