Dnet is delighted to announce the appointment of M. Shahadat Hossain as the new Executive Director, effective from September 2021. He will take over from outgoing Executive Director Mustafizur Rahman, who is taking up an international assignment. M. Shahadat Hossain’s appointment reflects the Dnet’s current state; ready to take on the future and fired up after another strong year of growth and success.
M. Hossain is a founder member of Dnet and has served in the Governing Body since 2019. Before this appointment, he has successfully carried out various tasks on behalf of the board. He was recently tasked with restructuring the multiple enterprises of Dnet as the Chief Strategy Officer. He started his professional career in 1991 and has worked in mid and senior levels of management in international and public limited companies both in the service and manufacturing industries. He has also taught marketing for over 14 years in North America, particularly at Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada, and SUNY Potsdam, NY, USA. And also received the Outstanding “Research Award” from the Institute of Business and Finance Research, the USA for his research on service innovation.
Dnet aims to promote innovative and sustainable solutions integrating social enterprise models that impact marginalized lives in Bangladesh and beyond. We also vision a society where information and knowledge facilitate the participation of all stakeholders for the generation of wealth and its equitable distribution for poverty alleviation.
